We are also fully insured and bonded and even carry an umbrella cargo insurance policy so you will be fully protected.

Our domestic truck car haulers utilize only the latest in technology and offer the latest air-ride technologies, hydraulic lift gates, GPS tracking, and the latest body valences increasing the fuel economy which results in a reduction in costs that can be passed on to our customer. We are evaluating the new hybrid battery technologies offered in the coming years and already offer solar energy for recharging our batteries, so we can minimize running the engines while stationary for long periods of time.

Car carriers run routes nationwide and know the roads better than any average person would when trying to travel long distances.  N-Motion Auto Transport ensures the safety of your vehicle when loaded on a car transporting hauler.  Vehicles used to be strapped down with chains that were connected to the undercarriage of the body.  That method caused damage far more often than not, so N-Motion Auto Transport has their car carriers use wheel straps that wrap around the tires and attach to the frame of the trailer to make sure no damage is caused.

Car Transport Companies

Today, more then ever, it is important to make sure your vehicle is being transported by a reliable company. As the economy worsens day by day, many companies are failing to maintain proper insurance. Insurance and the ability to pay the drivers are very important aspects of the auto transport industry. These issues can affect the quality of service you are provided by how the carriers view the company that you book your transportation with.

Car Shipping from New York to California
Let’s say you’re moving from New York to San Diego and your vehicle is a Mercedes-Benz CL 55. When you are talking to different companies about price and transit time, be sure to ask how much insurance they have as an umbrella policy in the event something happens during transit. As many companies are feeling the economic hard times insurance and other monthly payments are not being maintained which could put your vehicle at risk. With the above example of the Mercedes-Benz CL55, car haulers would need at least $150,000.00 in coverage depending on how many cars the trailer can hold. This way a reliable company can make sure your vehicle is covered if something where to happen and if the car carriers insurance is voided due to missed payments.

Car Transport Insurance
To re-cap the importance of a sound company, let’s go through a check list. First, make sure the vehicle transport company uses a car carrier with proper insurance and has an umbrella policy themselves. Second, check to see how long the company you are talking to has been in business and if the have good reviews.  Good relations with auto carriers can make all the difference in your auto shipping rates, transit time, and quality of service.

Shipping Wars on A&E – Recap of Episode “Tavern on the Greenbacks”

Well, here we are again with another recap of the latest episode of Shipping Wars. Roy wins a job to transport a catering food truck from NYC‘s famous restaurant, Tavern on the Green. The vehicle was supposed to be able to start and just drive right up onto the trailer, but Roy finds that not to be the case. The vehicle is now considered inoperable and he has to find another way to make it work. Being the handy man that Roy is, he takes it upon himself to rig up a winch to the trailer and pull it on. Well, this wasn’t all that was needed for the oversized food truck. After many hours of stress, Roy later finds that the buyer isn’t willing to pay for the extra work and materials that were needed to get the job done. To make matters even worse, once the vehicle was loaded onto the trailer, Roy’s trailer breaks and he then has to purchase a larger, more expensive trailer to complete the task. Jarrett on the other hand, wins the bid to move a 400-lb wooden African statue that should earn him some easy cash. This wasn’t the case anymore once his van breaks down again. He is then forced to find more loads along the way in order to break even, but soon finds himself having to purchase a new truck that won’t delay him in the future. All of these problems that have occurred in this episode could have been easily avoided with better communication between the two parties. N-Motion Auto Transport takes the extra time to figure out all of the logistics that are important in shipping a vehicle. It will end up costing everyone more money in the long run if things aren’t worked out before the car carrier even shows up. Here at N-Motion, with our extensive network of carefully chosen car haulers, we make sure to use the right rigs for the job. Our highly trained professionals go the extra mile to make sure that all carriers, that we use, have up to date equipment and carry the necessary cargo insurance to fully cover the entire value of each and every vehicle on the trailer.

Sports-Car Pileup vs Auto Transport

On a trip from Japan’s southern island of Kyushu to Hiroshima sports cars worth $4 million dollars turned into a pileup when a Ferrari leading the pack of exotic cars skidded as it tried to change lanes. After all of the smoke cleared there were eight Ferraris and one Lamborghini in a 20-vehicle group. The cars were driven by amateur sports car aficionados and were deemed “narcissists” by officials. They should have used N-Motion Auto Transport to move vehicles from point A to B. A car hauler would have saved them far more money and even possibly their lives. Only ten people had minor injuries and most of them have already been cleared from the hospital. The accident happened along a 400 meter-long curve Sunday morning. Even though an investigation is still going on based on the initial interviews and the type of damage that was done the police do not believe that the accident was based on “burning rubber” like in the street racing movies “Fast and the Furious”. The cause of the accident may be because of wet road conditions causing the driver to crash into the guardrail. Along with the nine sports cars that were damaged, two Mercedes Benz were also in the pile up. If you need your car moved, call N-Motion Auto Transport today and we will take care of all of your exotic car transport needs.

Where's the plan to repair N.Y.'s roads and bridges?

There could be major accidents in New York because the state is spending less money to fix its highways and bridges. This possibility might be seen because of the analysis that was seen in the records of the state Department of Transportation. A plan to fix these bridges needs to be decided by Governor Andrew Cuomo and state lawmakers. Car haulers would then be able to maneuver easily through the crowded cities. This would make auto shipping a more efficient means of open vehicle transportation than it already is. A five-year DOT plan that would have spent $26 billion for repairs was rejected by the 2009 Democratic- controlled state Legislature. About 80 percent of that money has been spent, and the state needs $250 billion in order to maintain its transportation and water systems. About $80 billion of that amount is unfunded. Sen. Chuck Schumer thinks that a National Infrastructure Bank to help states fund road and bridge projects should be created. However, the problem is that state and federal governments are financially stretched but if local governments were required to help with maintenance cost it could fix the problem. This is a good time for Cuomo and the state Legislature to come up with a solution to make the bridges and roads of New York stronger.

California Turns To China for New Bay Bridge

Over $7 billion is going to California’s, San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge which is going to be their newest bridge. The bridge is going to have a distinctive design to the Golden Gate Bridge. Bart Ney, a spokesman for the project said that it is going to be the world’s largest self-anchored suspension bridge. A classic suspension bridge is held up by cables strung between two towers much like a hammock. However, this bridge features a single tower and a single mile-long cable that drapes up and over the tower and supports the deck like a sling. New bridges only increse the car haulers ability to move quicker to locations. About five years ago is when the decision for the Bay Bridge started because a contractor offered different bids for the project. One proposing to do work domestically, one proposing to do the work internationally: Tony Anziano, a manager at the California Department of Transportation said that there was a $400 million differential in the bid and because of that it would have cause the work to go international. Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries which is a state-owned Chinese company took the steal contract job and they had many advantages such as modern production facilities, ships to deliver the steel and, of course, low-cost labor. The reason they didn’t go with an American steel company is because the steel doesn’t have capacity for a job like the Bay Bridge.

The Obama Admin Announces Medium & Heavy Truck Fuel Economy Standards

Obamas program is said to make trucks, buses, and other large vehicles more fuel-efficient and save these companies roughly $50 billion in gas over the programs life span. Many people’s reactions to the program’s proposal were/are positive ones. From 2014 to 2018, oil consumption will be a projected reduction of 530 million barrels. This will immediately impact the reduction of greenhouse gases as well, by about 270 million metric tons. Obama was given the idea by the hard working engine manufactures and drivers of these large trucks. The question was brought up: “If we are focusing so hard to improve the efficiency of everyday driver vehicles, why shouldn’t the larger trucks that actually move around the US everyday have a fuel-efficiency program.” These trucks are a major part of the ozone depletion and need just as many regulations, if not more, than passenger vehicles. This program, in no way, is negative because it adds an additional cost of about $6,000 to the purchase of these vehicles while in return saves about $73,000 a year in fuel costs. This will also make it even more efficient for vehicle shipping and car haulers . ATA CEO Bill Graves proposed, in addition to this program, that vehicles be limited to a speed of 65 mph and that trucks be governed at that speed.

Auto Transport Prepares for Winter

The winter months have arrived in North America and transport firms and professionals trying to control the auto shipping rates they charge customers will be implementing snow chains in order to keep transport vehicles on the snow covered roads and the highways of the United States during the months ahead. Transport drivers and firms looking for a new tool to help them keep transport vehicles on the roadways, rather than the snow chains they have been using for years, now have a new product designed to be an alternate for transport drivers and firms implementing snow chains in their business operations.

GoClaws is an advanced engineered tire traction system for use in mud, sand, snow or ice being marketed by Advanced Traction Systems, and an alternate choice to the snow chains car haulers have been putting on their heavy duty truck tires for years. An injection-molded, high-strength, high-durability polyurethane system offering a smoother ride and longer tire life, according to Advanced Traction Systems, GoClaws accomplished this through improved abrasion resistance and less damage to tires. In addition, GoClaws eliminates road damage, exceeds SAE clearance requirements for each vehicle class and meets the stricter laws enforced by many federal, state and local transportation departments and authorities who have made studded tires and tire chains illegal for vehicle shipping services because of the damage done to the roads and highways of the United States of America.

Transport drivers and firms that want to check out GoClaws for possible use in their transport business should check out local dealers of Advanced Traction Systems products, or contact the firm directly for more information on where to find GoClaws.

Ship Cars Along the Detroit-Windsor Gateway

It will be a little while before vehicle transport drivers and firms that were looking forward to using the a new, public bridge at the Windsor-Detroit gateway will have to wait a little longer, before this will be possible. The plans to build this particular transport route came up against another roadblock this week as Michigan’s Senate Majority Leader announced to the world that there would be no vote on the bridge in 2010. This is certainly news to the people that read the statements recently that there would indeed be an up and down vote in the Legislature on the plans to build the Windsor-Detroit gateway bridge during a lame duck session after the November 2 mid-term elections.

The new plans on the idea to build this bridge will now be delayed until newly elected Republican governor Rick Snyder takes over in the new year. Hopefully, once they get these plans back on track, we can get the Senate’s approval regarding the building of the Detroit-Windsor gateway, and car carriers moving along this route in the years ahead in the United States of America. At this point in time there appears to be some doubt in the minds of some transport professionals that the Windsor-Detroit gateway bridge is going to be built, but for now it appears this bridge is still in the minds of many drivers and firms that were looking forward to traveling across this bridge, once it was built.

There’s even a belief in some car haulers that we might have to put forth a new plan to build the Windsor-Detroit gateway bridge in 2011, since the current plans seem to be having trouble getting off the ground.

Ship Cars Using the Newest 2010 Engines

Drivers and transport firms interested in the latest reviews from other transport professionals implementing car carriers using the new fuel-efficient 2010 engines in their transport vehicle will be glad to hear that the transport industry of the United States of America is beginning to embrace these new engines. There are reports coming in of some drivers and firms reluctantly beginning to invest in transport vehicles with the newest fuel-efficient engines designed to help the transport industry meet the current emissions standards of the United States Environmental Protection Agency. There are also reports coming in of some firms in the business of car shipping to Puerto Rico beginning to think about investing more money in transport vehicles with the latest engines designed to help them meet the environmental requirements of transport in America during the miles ahead.

It would appear that the present scorecard of these new fuel-efficient engines designed to help car haulers in North America and the transport industry of the United States reduce the carbon wheel-print of the vehicle transport services they provide is still a bit of a mystery for many transport firms using these engines. The miles ahead will certainly provide the data transport firms need to finish filling in this scorecard. Hopefully, the data collected by the firms and drivers implementing the newest 2010 fuel-efficient engines is even better than the designers and engineers hope, and the scorecard is one that makes us all smile as we head down the roads taking the cars to destination.
