St. Thomas High School & TKO Sports team up with N-Motion Auto Transport

N-Motion Auto Transport & TKO Sports are pleased to announce that we are going to be the Proud Sponsors of St. Thomas High School and their athletics program for 2012. N-Motion is a Houston based company and is always looking for ways to give back to the community. We are constantly searching for new ideas that can make the city a better place to live and what better way than to pave the road for these young athletes. Just to give a brief description of this fine establishment, here are some noteworthy facts: It was founded in 1900 by the Basilian Fathers in Downtown, Houston. In 1940, the school was moved to its present location, nestled peacefully two miles west of downtown. This location puts St. Thomas within two minutes of the many cultural centers of Houston and makes it easily accessible to all ethnic and socio-economic groups. To add to the list of philanthropic initiatives, the upper classmen offer community service to the Soup Kitchen, Casa Juan Diego, Food Bank, Volunteer Center, and Habitat for Humanity.

N-Motion Auto Transport is always here to help and anything we can do to make this great city a better place for all, we offer our services and a helping hand.

Shipping Wars on A&E – Recap of Episode “Baja or Bust”

Episode 9 is jam packed full of interesting events for the transporters. Marc finds himself heading to Mexico to pick up a $100,000 award winning Baja Truck. There are strict time constraints for this load and it is important that Marc stays on schedule. He must protect this prized possession while on its way to the track for a famous race, but then runs into some problems with directions. The back roads of Tijuana aren’t as kind to Marc as he had hoped for, forcing him to get resourceful or possibly putting him out of business. He incurs many debts along the way, such as customs papers, etc. This then takes away from the big profit that he was so desperately counting on. On another note, Scott and Susie take their boat hauling knowledge to the next level when having to transport a wooden pirate ship across the US. What would transport be without problems, right? They continued to have problems keeping the boat tied down to the trailer. With the many years of problem solving, Scott and Susie find a way to keep that old ship anchored down.

Houston Construction Industry Auto Show

Round 2 of the Houston Construction Industry Auto Show is going to be better than ever. Don’t miss out on an event benefiting the U.S. Vets Houston! This is an outdoor event that will showcase hundreds of foreign, domestic, classic, rods, etc. There is also a little something for the kids: a construction zone. Friday May 18 is Guitars n’Cars that will involve only a select few vehicles that will be on display in Reliant Stadium, including concerts and silent auctions. For the many vets here in the Houston area, an event like this only brightens their day. The U.S. Vets Houston is a foundation that helps facilitate the transition of military veterans and their loved ones through the provision of housing, support, career development, etc. All proceeds from the auto event will go to helping the foundation remodel their kitchen, which is in desperate need. Many big sponsors like Halliburton, Weatherford, Gensler, Tellepsen and BP will all be out there supporting this great cause. N-Motion Auto Transport is working on also getting involved as well.

Shipping Wars on A&E – Recap of Episode “Tavern on the Greenbacks”

Well, here we are again with another recap of the latest episode of Shipping Wars. Roy wins a job to transport a catering food truck from NYC‘s famous restaurant, Tavern on the Green. The vehicle was supposed to be able to start and just drive right up onto the trailer, but Roy finds that not to be the case. The vehicle is now considered inoperable and he has to find another way to make it work. Being the handy man that Roy is, he takes it upon himself to rig up a winch to the trailer and pull it on. Well, this wasn’t all that was needed for the oversized food truck. After many hours of stress, Roy later finds that the buyer isn’t willing to pay for the extra work and materials that were needed to get the job done. To make matters even worse, once the vehicle was loaded onto the trailer, Roy’s trailer breaks and he then has to purchase a larger, more expensive trailer to complete the task. Jarrett on the other hand, wins the bid to move a 400-lb wooden African statue that should earn him some easy cash. This wasn’t the case anymore once his van breaks down again. He is then forced to find more loads along the way in order to break even, but soon finds himself having to purchase a new truck that won’t delay him in the future. All of these problems that have occurred in this episode could have been easily avoided with better communication between the two parties. N-Motion Auto Transport takes the extra time to figure out all of the logistics that are important in shipping a vehicle. It will end up costing everyone more money in the long run if things aren’t worked out before the car carrier even shows up. Here at N-Motion, with our extensive network of carefully chosen car haulers, we make sure to use the right rigs for the job. Our highly trained professionals go the extra mile to make sure that all carriers, that we use, have up to date equipment and carry the necessary cargo insurance to fully cover the entire value of each and every vehicle on the trailer.
