N-Motion Auto Transport Increases Car Shipping Services from Houston, Texas to Miami, Florida

PRESS RELEASE

Texas and Florida have always been pretty popular states when it comes to auto transport service needs. With the summer months upon us, N-Motion Auto Transport is seeing a large influx of customers asking about Florida car shipping rates. Many are vacationing in the Sunshine State with families and some are just making a corporate relocation to the sandy destination. Customers are looking for a timely and cost efficient alternatives to driving the vehicles themselves.

Once they have hired their household goods moving company, step 2 would be to hire an auto transport company to facilitate the car shipping to Florida. Customers have enough things to worry about with the whole moving process and N-Motion Auto Transport is there to remove the extra stress.

Facts About the Car Shipping Process:

Road trips might be fun every now and then, but what about when there isn't enough time or it’s just a very long distance? There are many factors that can deter people from driving the long road ahead. With crude oil prices always on the rise, it is getting very costly to drive anywhere these days. Not to mention the cost of lodging, food, and wear/tear on the vehicle all adding up on the bill. Above all, the most important factor to think about when making that road trip would be the safety factors. There are many reckless drivers on the roads and many dangerous routes as well. If the wrong road is chosen somewhere along the way, it might then cause a whole new issue. What if the car breaks down in the middle of nowhere and there is no cell phone signal? These are just a few of the important things to think about before making the trip.

Diesel Dips 4.2cents, hitting $4.088 & Gasoline Declines for Second Straight Week

Looking to be a positive overall outcome, retail diesel fuel prices have dipped for the second straight week from $4.13 per gallon to $4.088. The US Energy Information Administration expects the diesel prices to continue to decline for the next two years, which studies have shown that this will reduce truck fleets annual fuel costs by as much as $5,700 per rig.  This is great news for car carriers and their drivers because it seems that the cost of everything else in steadily increasing, other than their pay checks.

According to the EIA, the 4.2-cent dip in diesel prices last week was less than fuel costs were back in 2012 at this same time.  To ice the cake, prices were actually increasing at this time last year from $4.123 a gallon and up.

US Oil Production Increases, Paving Way to
Lower Fuel Costs
Once gas prices hit $4.051 in February of 2012, prices didn't drop below the $4 mark until the middle of May 2012.  Mid-March of 2013 was the first time since November of 2012 that diesel prices have been cheaper than the prior year.

Not only did diesel prices drop but gasoline prices did as well.  Last week’s fuel prices were $3.759 and have since dropped this week to $3.71 per gallon, much less than last year’s prices at the comparable time.  Car shipping customers and other customers alike will also enjoy the splendors of lowed fuel prices.

Phil Flynn, an analyst of the Price Futures Group in Chicago, states that steady oil markets are putting less pressure on diesel prices at the same time winter demand is easing up on crude oil used in both diesel and heating oil.

US Fuel Prices Finally Dropping in 2013
Crude oil closed out on March 14 at $93.03 whereas one year ago it was at a staggering $106.71.  The steady production of oil in the U.S. is making natural gas a quality option in the auto transportation industry being that both factors are beginning to affect diesel costs.

In the EIA’s short-term oil price report that was released on March 12, retail costs of diesel is anticipated to drop to $3.90 in 2013 from the previous $3.97 in 2012 and will drop even more to $3.80 in 2014.  “U.S. crude oil production exceeded an average level of 7 million barrels per day in November and December 2012, the highest volume since December 1992,” the EIA report said.

It’s a recurring search for new ways and technologies to decrease fuel consumption and increase gas mileage, but after the ten year long search it is finally paying off.

Nationwide Auto Transport Services

N-Motion Auto Transport is here to facilitate all of your auto shipping needs.  Auto Transport is more important than ever before. In today’s economy the best way to save money would be auto transport vs. driving. Driving a vehicle over long distances can possibly add up to thousands of dollars in wear and tear. The possibility of getting into an accident, theft, breakdown, or nail in the tire is greatly increased the more you drive. These are just a few examples of the hazards waiting for your vehicle on the open road.

Why spend money on extra expenses that are not necessary? Car shipping is the most economically sound way to transport your vehicle to its new destination without having to worry about wear and tear on your vehicle. To understand this better, let’s compare driving vs. car transport.

First, once your vehicle is loaded onto an open or enclosed trailer your vehicle will stay on that same trailer till it arrives at its destination. This ensures the protection and safety of the vehicle from road hazards that one would encounter if driving the vehicle yourself.

Second, auto transport is a better way to go rather than driving because of the miles that would be saved from driving that distance. This is another way to save money; by not having to depreciate the value of your vehicle by adding all those extra miles to the odometer.

The most money can be saved by auto transport vs. driving if an accident were to happen. Now, you’re probably thinking how can this be? Let’s say you choose to drive your vehicle cross-country instead of shipping it and your car is either damaged by another driver without insurance or is damaged by road hazards, who’s going to pay for this? The answer is you, and it could come out to a lot. Now, with the same scenario, if that vehicle is on an auto transport trailer and damage occurs then the transport company’s driver will pay for repairs.

With this information in mind it’s clear to see which option is best. Remember, your vehicle is not just your car, but rather an investment that you want to keep as safe as possible by choosing an auto transport service.

N-Motion Auto Transport Prepares their Car Shipping Services and Gears Up for the 30th Anniversary of the Houston Auto Show at Reliant Park

Reliant Park hosts the annual Houston Auto Show and this one is going to be special for it’s their 30th Anniversary.  N-Motion Auto Transport is proud to announce that their increased enclosed transport fleet is ramping up for the event and ready for another successful run.

N-Motion Auto Transport specializes in enclosed auto transport solutions for vehicles needing extra care and protection from the elements on the long road ahead. Their enclosed car transport division is gearing up for the big 30th Anniversary of the Houston Auto Show located in Houston, Texas at Reliant Center. The show consists of the largest showcase of vehicles within its 3 decades of existence, while occupying some 700,000 square feet of display space.

From Mercedes to Maserati, the Houston Auto Show produced by the Houston Automobile Dealers Association, has brought a wide array of featured car brands to the great state of Texas. Consumers get a first-hand experience with the vehicles by getting to see, touch, and drive the auto industry’s latest and greatest offerings.

N-Motion Auto Transport is always finding new ways in integrate themselves into the automotive marketplace and the Houston Auto Show is has a stronghold on the industry. As earlier stated in this article, enclosed transport is the best solution for cars needing special attention with being shipped from point A to B. Enclosed car shipping carriers utilize hard-side trailers with specialized lift gates for low ground clearance vehicles. The premier hard-side enclosure ensures the safety of the vehicle from airborne elements such as dust, dirt, rocks, and flying debris. There is no telling what the road ahead has in store and most people do not want to take the chance to find out. Lift gates are a must in this industry because ramps don't accommodate low body vehicles that have little ground clearance. Many newer vehicles have low profile wheels and tires, so customers will enjoy the safe entree into the hard-side enclosed trailer.

N-Motion Auto Transport Sees an Influx in Trucking Needs to Move Inoperative Vehicles out of the Northeast in the Wake of Hurricane Sandy

In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, the Northeast is full of inoperative vehicles at auctions that need auto shipping services.  N-Motion Auto Transport is sending a mass amount of trucks lately to the NE region to haul cars to other parts of the nation for resale and/or salvage.

Thousands of cars were ravaged by Hurricane Sandy in the Northeast and are now all up for auction. Buyers all over the nation are flocking to the Insurance Auto Auction Corp's auctions to clean house on extremely cheap vehicles. A Calverton Executive Airpark runway on Long Island is recently called home to 15,000+ damaged vehicles waiting to be purchased. N-Motion Auto Transport is currently sending many car shipping truck fleets to pull the units out from the NE and bring them to their new homes.

Residents of the town Riverhead are worried that the thousands of damaged vehicles sitting for 6-12 months could cause environmental issues with leaking oil, gasoline, and other fluids into the groundwater. N-Motion Auto Transport is quickly sending as many car carriers as possible to the area to remove these vehicles in a safe and economic fashion. N-Motion Auto Transport is a very environmentally conscious car transport company that prides themselves on using trucks that follow all safety standards.

Inoperative vehicles require a special breed of auto transport due to their lack of starting and/or rolling capabilities. They need to be carefully winched onto the auto carrier and properly strapped down for safe transit. If the vehicles do not roll, break, and steer, then N-Motion Auto Transport will orchestrate for a forklift to load them onto the trucks.

For more information on how to transport inoperative vehicles from the auctions in New York and New Jersey, call N-Motion Auto Transport today!

N-Motion Auto Transport Now has More Trucks Running to Canada Due to the Influx of Canadian Car Collectors' U.S. Purchases

Due to the resurgence of the U.S. dollar, Canadian car collectors are purchasing classic and antique vehicles at a rapid rate from U.S. sellers.  N-Motion Auto Transport has stepped up and increased operations to provide car shipping services to fulfill this high demand.

The U.S. dollar is back on the rise and Canadian car collectors are trying to take full advantage of the multitude of well-intact classic cars in the U.S. The United States is a great place to purchase older vehicles because there are more areas with ideal climate. Canada has very rough winters which tends to cause vehicle damage more frequently than not. So, Canadian collectors find it best to purchase vehicles from more ideal climates that will keep the value of the vehicle.

N-Motion Auto Transport now has more trucks running back and forth to Canada due to this high demand of classic cars being purchased in the U.S. They continue to follow the trends of the auto transport market so that they can continue to offer quality service to all sectors of the industry. Their increased trucking efforts to Canada has made car shipping and border crossing a breeze. N-Motion Auto Transport has quality relationships with customs agencies and can refer customers from any Canadian province to their designated provider.

N-Motion Auto Transport recommends classic cars to be shipped in their enclosed car carriers to avoid exposure to weather and debris from the long road ahead. Enclosed transport provides customers with peace of mind by utilizing hard side trailers with lift gates for cars with even the lowest of ground clearance.

Automated Export System (AES)

AES and the Car Shipping Industry
Everyone knows how time consuming it is to organize all the paperwork that is required by law to import or export goods. In an attempt to speed this process up and make exporting more efficient, the U.S. Commerce Department’s Census Bureau created “AES”. Automated Export System helps exporters file and organize information over the internet at no cost. This is the government’s way to increase U.S. exports and increase the benefits of exporting.  According to Masaaki Kotabe and Kristiaan Helsen, “it was designed to improve trade statistics, reduce duplicate reporting to multiple agencies, improve customer service, and to ensure compliance with enforcement of laws relating to exporting”. This system is a national system that is used by all U.S. ports and all means of transportation. Kotabe and Kristiaan note that, “This internet-based system will allow exporters, freight forwarders, and consolidators to file shippers export declaration information in an automated, cost-free way”.

How AES Benefits Auto Shipping
A system like this can have many benefits to consumers and auto shippers from all areas when exporting goods. The reduced cost of organizing information can translate to a reduced cost in services charged by the different types of export services. The reduced cost can translate into increased profits and increased interest in exporting without having to worry how to get all the information to the correct people in time of the export. Since this service has been enabled in late 1999, exporting has become less stressful and less confusing. For more information on this system please refer to the internet for help.

Oldest Surviving Production Ford in the World Finally Comes Home to Mr. William Ford

Vehicles tend to increase in value when they exceed a normal human’s lifespan – they become what we call a collector car.  The problem with newer cars is that the second you drive that thing off of the dealership lot it depreciates in value.  Bill Ford, Henry Ford’s great-grandson, purchased this 1903 Ford Model A last October for a whopping $264,000.00 at an auction.  He is only the 6th owner of this vehicle (one of the 1st three ever built & the oldest surviving production car by Ford.)

Collector Car Shipping
The first owner of this Model A was Herbert McNary.  He paid only $850.00 for the car over half a century ago and took extreme care of it, as you can see.  Herbert might have never seen it coming but his mediocre amount of money kept the Ford Motor Co. from falling over the edge of bankruptcy.

Back in 1903, the Ford Motor Co. had as little as $225.00 sitting in their bank account which was nowhere near what the impending payroll was.  McNary put down a deposit of $170.00 on the vehicle and another $300.00 deposit from the Indiana Motor Co. for another Model A.  The $850.00 was a full-price payment from a Dr. E Pfenning for his car.  This value totaling to $1320.00 is what kept Henry Ford’s dream alive and before he knew it, 1700 Model A’s we assembled in his Detroit Plant.

Mr. McNary’s family sold the Model A to a collector for $400.00 and the new owner just couldn’t wait to get it restored.  He then re-sold the car to a Swiss Ford dealer some years later.  The collectible sat in Germany’s Ford of Europe’s Cologne until 2001.  Before the vehicle was able to reach the auction block, this Model A was a part of the John O’Quinn collection, before he passed away.  It then received a minor restoration by Terry Deters Restorations following the auction.

Antique Vehicle Shipping
Now, this is just one of the many types of vehicles that deserve only the best modes of transportation and it would most definitely go on an enclosed transport carrier.  The car shipping process would be as careful as if you were sending grandma off to the airport.

Auto Shipping a SUV

N-Motion Auto Transport’s professional staff has years of experience in the automotive industry.  They are more than able to cater to each customer’s needs, whether it is a specific time frame or just an over-sized or odd vehicle.  Shipping an SUV is a very common thing to do, especially when it needs to travel long distances in a timely fashion.  SUV’s are larger vehicles with more weight than average cars on the road, but N-Motion Auto Transport takes all of the details into account to ensure you that you are getting the right type of car carriers for the job.

SUV Auto Transport
A majority of auto shipping carriers max out at 10 vehicles per load and some carry as few as 2 vehicles per load.  Just because there might be 10 vehicles that are needing to be transported doesn’t necessarily mean that they can all go on the same trailer.  The trucks are restricted by length, height and weight of the total load.  So, if the vehicles are longer or heavier than average then odds are that there won’t be 12 vehicles on that load.  Drivers to their best to maximize the load because each spot is a dollar amount so he doesn’t want to lose anything when it might be possible to fit another vehicle on the trailer.  As to make sure that your vehicle makes it on the truck, be sure to remove all household goods and anything extra that might cause the SUV to be heavier.

Insurance for SUV Auto Shipping
SUVs typically are hauled on what is called an open transport trailer.  I’m sure you have seen those big 18 wheelers on the road that have all of the cars on the back…that is an open transport.  N-Motion Auto Transport does their due diligence and only uses highly rated, fully insured carriers that are in good standing with the Department of Transportation.

Do Vehicles Really Need Snow Tires in the winter?

Many believe that snow tires are the answer to taking care of a vehicle in cold climates but experts have shown that that isn’t the case.  All-season tires are not only the most popular types of tires on the market, and for good reason, but they are also proving to be the most reliable.

Auto experts suggest that when purchasing a new set of tires make sure that they are winter compatible (approved tires have snowflakes imprinted on the side).  Now that the type of tire has been established, it’s time to find out which is the best for that specific vehicle.  99.9% of winter approved tires are NOT low profile, so don’t expect them to have that sporty look that many people are always worried about.
Contact the automotive dealer or owner’s manual that correlates with each specific vehicle for further reference on which winter tires are best for the vehicle.  Performance cars such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Corvettes, etc. have daily tires that are in no way formulated to be efficient in winter conditions and require special tires for such an occasion.

Owners of standard vehicle types need to pay special attention to tread and tire pressure much like the exotic vehicle owners.  Be sure to always check tire pressure in everyday weather conditions but more so with the frigid winter environments.  Overinflated tires can cause more wear on the middle of the tires and increase the chances of frequent replacement.  When the weather dips at least 10 degrees, air pressure in the tire loses about 1 to 2lbs/sq. inch.  This can be a major concern and should be monitored accordingly.

Some maintenance and safety tips are listed below:
  • Check regulations of the state – There is a portion of states in the nation that require snow tires or all weather tires (such as Pennsylvania.)  Drivers can be fined for breakdowns on the side of the road if found negligent of maintaining proper equipment.
  • Do not decrease the tire’s air pressure – low air pressure in the tire can cause overheating and tearing of the tire.  The old wives tale that has been told for many years says that decreasing the pressure will improve the tires traction on the icy roads.  Do not believe those old wives!
  • Check the tires tread – the tread on tires can be worn from many different contributing factors and should always be monitored for safety purposes.  The rule of thumb is that 3/32 of tread or less can be much of a concern because the lack of tread can increase the chances of hydroplaning, along with other problems.  Experts say that 4/32 remaining should be replaced due to only providing half of the traction of new tires.

It’s That Time of Year Again…Family Road Trips Are in Full Effect and Safety is Always Most Important

The year is coming to an end and it’s the holidays again.  Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years are all very popular occasions in which families decide to take road trips to visit loved ones all over the world.  Being organized and prepared for such trips is highly important because it’s hard to know what the road ahead has in store.

Car maintenance is number one on the to-do list, but if drivers constantly stay up to date with it there should be no worries.  Nothing says disaster more than being broken down on the side of the road with whining children in the back seat and a possible loss of cell phone coverage.  Responsible vehicle owners will get their cars serviced every 90 days or so and shouldn't have much to worry about.  It’s good to have a trusty mechanic at your side to keep you current on all maintenance scheduling and quality workmanship.  Regular oil changes and diagnostics are especially important.  Some of the following services are recommended while having your oil changed; checking tire pressure, making sure windshield wipers aren't dry rotted, all lights (including headlights, brake lights, etc.) and fluid levels (including motor oil, coolant, transmission, brake, windshield washer and most importantly anti-freeze.  Winter is the season in which anti-freeze is the most vital due to high chances of weather conditions hitting freezing levels.

It’s never a bad idea to get a roadside assistance service for the trip as well.  Most insurance firms will offer this and it’s especially important when traveling with small children and/or alone.  The services are typically very cost effective and could save drivers many headaches in the event of a breakdown.

An emergency travel kit is highly recommended for every travel, whether it is a short trip or a long travel.  Unexpected delays happen far more often than not and drivers need to be prepared for such events.  A usual kit should include tools, first aid supplies, emergency rations, water, blankets, flashlights (with batteries), roadside flares, tire gauge, jumper cables, and a spare tire and accessories.

Be sure that frequent stops are included in the trip as well.  It make hurt the time frame in which was anticipated to arrive at the destination, but it will surely make a difference.

For those who prefer to travel by airplane yet still want to use their own vehicles at their final destination, N-Motion Auto Transport offers services such as auto shipping, car shipping and enclosed transport.

In early 2010, Daimler-Benz moved its production of the Mercedes C-class vehicles to a plant near Tuscaloosa, Alabama.  The US dollar was very weak at the time, compared to the Euro and there aren’t many unionized work forces in the South.  These factors make for Alabama being a low-cost production location compared to that of Germany.  Saving a dollar here and there really makes a big difference, especially in this economy.

It does seem a bit odd to think of Mercedes and Alabama having any correlation with each other, but this is now the case.  Tuscaloosa is known for the likes of Bear Bryant and Role Tide fans, not luxury automobiles.  The new opportunity for Alabama workers is something that is a plus for the southern state and this new luxury car business is placed there because of how poor the area is.  The company will save money with low taxation and the workers won’t demand high pay rates.  It’s a win-win for Daimler-Benz.

Tuscaloosa, Alabama is nestled right off Interstate 20 and is very close to Atlanta’s auto shipping connection.  The location is oddly convenient for car transporter and is centrally located for easy access to the Interstate 65 corridor up to the Chicago area nearby in Birmingham, Alabama.

With the excess of vehicles being produced in the US, more cars will be transported throughout the nation and give the country better stability within the trade sectors among the rest of the world.  Car shipping companies serving the East Coast ports where the previous German car imports would be brought in might have been a bit disgruntled, but the auto transport companies within the states sure seem to be singing a different tune.

Owning and Shipping an Exotic Car

A few years ago, Russia launched their very first sports car called Marussia (a popular Russian female pet name.)  All ends of every industry were talking about this car, not just the automobile industry.  After I saw this car, I couldn't stop thinking of ways to get it in my driveway (as I do will all of my favorite rides.)  A couple of ways to do this immediately would be either (a) win a lottery or (b) marry someone really rich, both of which are far-fetched ideas.

Take a second and think about how you would want this car handled if you were the proud owner.  You would want only the best auto shipping company on the job and spare no expense.  Such a collector’s item as this Marussia, or sports cars such as Ferrari’s & Lamborghini’s, requires careful car shipping experts.  You need automobile caretakers – experienced auto transport companies like N-Motion Auto Transport that are professionals in handling these bad boys.  Our drivers are highly experienced, utilize lift gates and hard side enclosed trailers.  The biggest advantage to using enclosed trailers is the luxury of your car being protected from dust, rocks, weather and any floating debris.  Once your exotic vehicle is loaded, it stays on the truck until it is delivered to your front door-step.  So, when that day comes that you get that finally get that beauty, trust only the pros with the big investment.

Car Care Tips for the Winter

Vehicle maintenance is a must in this busy world.  Fast paced people don't have the time to be idle and wait for their cars to get fixed at the shop.  The winter months can get really cold and are a frustrating time for a car to break down, so follow these few tips and keep that car in motion.

While drivers should keep their vehicles properly maintained year round to ensure its peak performance, most people tend to forget some things.  So, with that said, N-Motion Auto Transport wanted to just give a few reminders for the cold winter months to reduce complications.

  • Make sure to clean out the areas of the car where twigs and leaves can possibly build up.  These areas are usually meant for water run off.  The air plenum near the windshield is a common spot where this can happen.
  • Consider purchasing a set of winter tires.  Today's society has created the trend of using low profile, wider tires on our vehicles and the car manufactures have taken this into consideration.  They have made the wheel wells shorter in order to accommodate these low-pros.  Low profile tires are a no-no in the snow and will only decrease traction.
  • Check the wiper blades and make sure there is plenty of life left in them.  Conditions such as fog, rain and snow can all reduce visibility and make for dangerous driving situations.  When the vehicle is parked, make sure that the wipers are in the off position so that the wiper motor doesn't overwork itself to fight frozen wipers.
  • Winter conditions puts more stress on the vehicles battery, so make sure that the battery is fully juiced all of the time.  Remember, many car part shops usually don't charge anything to load-test the battery. It is much cheaper to replace the battery on a time schedule that fits the consumer's lifestyle versus being at the mercy of which ever repair shop it is towed to.
  • Make sure that the antifreeze is topped off, but majority of vehicles are fitted with systems that can hold enough for 5 years or up to 150,000 miles.

As long as drivers follow these few tips for the winter, they can easily get from point A to B without complications.
