Affordable Health Care for Vehicle Shipping

Drivers and firms operating car carriers out on the transport roads and highways of the United States wondering when we'll see plans to start a nationwide initiative aimed at making affordable health care more accessible for transport drivers can start to relax a little. The Healthy Trucking Association of America (HTAA) has recently announced plans to launch just such a plan across the nation during the miles ahead in order to make health care more affordable for transport drivers taking vehicles to destination on a daily basis.

The plans include a joint project with the Convenient Care Association (CCA), the national trade group representing the retail-based convenient care industry of the United States of America, and the offering of expanded medical services specifically for the transport drivers of America at retail clinics nationwide. Transport drivers shipping cars overseas will soon have access to a variety of medical services customized for the transport drivers of the nation, like Department of Transportation examinations, treatment of acute illnesses, chronic disease management, smoking cessation and weight loss management services designed to help truckers stay healthy.

Sources in the car shipping industry indicate that Convenient Care Association clinics are located in retail locations like pharmacies and large supermarkets across the United States of America. This according to many transport drivers and experts makes the medical services these clinics provide a lot easier to access than the traditional doctors office or emergency rooms transport drivers can visit across North America. They are also trying to make these clinics more trucking-friendly by providing better parking services and other services designed specifically to make the life of the American trucker out on the roads better during the miles ahead.

Car Haulers Dealing With Snow

Transport drivers conducting vehicle shipping services along the New York State Thruway this week and during the weekend might want to look at alternate routes in order to help them deliver customers cars in a reliable, efficient and cost-effective manner during the miles ahead. Sources traveling along a 10-mile section of Interstate 90 indicate that this route could be closed to transport in both directions between exits 50 and 55 along New York's eastern suburbs during the next few days. Transport drivers and firms planning on using this route to transport vehicles to destination on time and budget, might want to think about alternate routes, just in case this route should be totally closed to car transport, or even slowed down considerably during the next few days for transportation services.

At the present moment, about two feet of snow has fallen along this transport route in the last few days, and hundreds of motorists have been stranded due to falling snow during the past week. Sources in the transport industry indicate that people have been using snowmobiles and emergency vehicles to try to help stranded drivers along the closed stretch of Interstate 90 running north-south along Buffalo's eastern city limits, but that there are still lots of stranded drivers. There's also lots of work left to do to get this transport route up to full capacity for use by the car transporter needing to move vehicles to destinations along this route.

Transport services and drivers thinking about using this essential transport route that want to make sure there are no problems due to the falling snow, should probably use a different route to move to destination, if possible, just to make sure any possibly problems are avoided.

Vehicle Transport Can be Proud

Transport firms and drivers in the business of controlling auto shipping rates interested in stories of heroic truckers out on the roads and highways of America putting their lives on the line to help people in trouble will be interested in the latest truckers to be named Highway Angels by the Truckload Carriers Association. A husband and wife trucking team, Cliff and Wanda Humphrey, were recently named Truckload Carriers Association Highway Angels for stopping to help out at a fatal car crash in the mid-morning of July 19, 2010. Cliff was fast and grabbed a fire extinguisher to help put out the fire that had erupted after the crash, while Wanda got on the phone and called 911. A truly heroic partnership that probably saved a few lives on this day and certainly they make the auto transport and trucking industry as a whole proud after being named the latest Highway Angels of the United States to be recognized for their bravery while out on the roads and highways.

Sources around the trucking industry and business of controlling car shipping prices indicate that Cliff Humphrey is a seasoned truck driver who has in fact helped quite a few people during his 37 years of trucking. This kind of choice is something that Cliff has made before and to him it could be just the right thing to do, considering he has a habit of stopping to help people he sees in trouble out on the roads of North America. Still, this gentlemen and his partner should be proud of their choice on this day, and give themselves a little reward for being one of the millions of transport industry workers that care about other people in the world.
