Car Shipping Prices

Car shipping prices can vary with different criteria such as size of the vehicle, pickup and delivery location, type of service required (open auto transport vs. enclosed auto transport), special requirements, etc.  N-Motion Auto Transport does a great job of obtaining all information and creating a specialized car transport program to fit the wants and needs of every customer.  Need a monster truck moved from Baltimore, MD to Los Angeles, CA?  Easy!  N-Motion Auto Transport would get the specs of the truck and then match the type of trailer necessary to perfectly cater to the dimensions of the vehicle.

Each vehicle is properly secured with wheel straps, not chains.  Wheel straps do not put any tension on the body of the vehicle and reduce any chance of damage during the car hauling process.  This is an added perk of using an auto shipping company such as N-Motion Auto Transport and does not inflate the car shipping prices whatsoever.

Fast, Reliable Car Transport Solutions

Whether you need to move off to college or even want to travel down south for the winter, N-Motion Auto Transport can cater to your every need.  We transport vehicles for a wide variety of clientele, including race teams, professional athletes, college students, snowbirds, and dealerships all over the nation.  Our car shipping prices do not change with different clients because we do not believe in price gouging.  The team at N-Motion Auto Transport gives consumers the easiest and most affordable options available in the automobile transport market.

Nationwide Auto Transport Services

N-Motion Auto Transport is here to facilitate all of your auto shipping needs.  Auto Transport is more important than ever before. In today’s economy the best way to save money would be auto transport vs. driving. Driving a vehicle over long distances can possibly add up to thousands of dollars in wear and tear. The possibility of getting into an accident, theft, breakdown, or nail in the tire is greatly increased the more you drive. These are just a few examples of the hazards waiting for your vehicle on the open road.

Why spend money on extra expenses that are not necessary? Car shipping is the most economically sound way to transport your vehicle to its new destination without having to worry about wear and tear on your vehicle. To understand this better, let’s compare driving vs. car transport.

First, once your vehicle is loaded onto an open or enclosed trailer your vehicle will stay on that same trailer till it arrives at its destination. This ensures the protection and safety of the vehicle from road hazards that one would encounter if driving the vehicle yourself.

Second, auto transport is a better way to go rather than driving because of the miles that would be saved from driving that distance. This is another way to save money; by not having to depreciate the value of your vehicle by adding all those extra miles to the odometer.

The most money can be saved by auto transport vs. driving if an accident were to happen. Now, you’re probably thinking how can this be? Let’s say you choose to drive your vehicle cross-country instead of shipping it and your car is either damaged by another driver without insurance or is damaged by road hazards, who’s going to pay for this? The answer is you, and it could come out to a lot. Now, with the same scenario, if that vehicle is on an auto transport trailer and damage occurs then the transport company’s driver will pay for repairs.

With this information in mind it’s clear to see which option is best. Remember, your vehicle is not just your car, but rather an investment that you want to keep as safe as possible by choosing an auto transport service.

Change in the Auto Shipping Industry

E-Commerce in the Auto Transport Industry
Over the last few years, the auto transport industry has seen an increase in e-commerce. E-commerce roughly means conducting business over the internet for products of all types from all over the world. In the world of logistics, e-commerce has changed the way people buy and sell directly to consumers over national boundaries by cutting out the retail channel. Manufactures can benefit more today from e-commerce than in the past by selling their products straight to retail stores. Consumers can also benefit more from these channels by saving more money on goods that would normally sell for more in the local retail outlet. Companies like Amazon.com have used e-commerce to operate in a new technological world by shipping goods directly to the consumer with a wide range of products to choose from.

Auto Shipping Industry
In the auto industry e-commerce has increased online sales of automobiles. People from overseas or in different states are able to look at vehicles for sell and make a purchase without ever seeing the car in person. This form of business has increased the benefits for both dealers and consumers. Vehicle transport companies have also benefited from the increased e-commerce move. Since vehicles are purchased online, the need for car transport services has increased dramatically.

Car Shipping Industry
Over all, e-commerce is changing the way we do business and saving money for everyone at the same time. Next time you’re online looking to purchase goods, remember you’re engaging in e-commerce which can change your view of how goods are now bought and sold.

Owning and Shipping an Exotic Car

A few years ago, Russia launched their very first sports car called Marussia (a popular Russian female pet name.)  All ends of every industry were talking about this car, not just the automobile industry.  After I saw this car, I couldn't stop thinking of ways to get it in my driveway (as I do will all of my favorite rides.)  A couple of ways to do this immediately would be either (a) win a lottery or (b) marry someone really rich, both of which are far-fetched ideas.

Take a second and think about how you would want this car handled if you were the proud owner.  You would want only the best auto shipping company on the job and spare no expense.  Such a collector’s item as this Marussia, or sports cars such as Ferrari’s & Lamborghini’s, requires careful car shipping experts.  You need automobile caretakers – experienced auto transport companies like N-Motion Auto Transport that are professionals in handling these bad boys.  Our drivers are highly experienced, utilize lift gates and hard side enclosed trailers.  The biggest advantage to using enclosed trailers is the luxury of your car being protected from dust, rocks, weather and any floating debris.  Once your exotic vehicle is loaded, it stays on the truck until it is delivered to your front door-step.  So, when that day comes that you get that finally get that beauty, trust only the pros with the big investment.

For car transport tips and information about the process, call N-Motion Auto Transport TODAY!

Texas Vehicle Shipping

Texas car transport truck drivers love to stop at Travel Centers of America locations all along the long Texas highways for either a re-fuel or even just to grab a bite to eat.  Travel Centers of America brought in a new idea not too long ago called Willie’s Place in Carl’s Corner, Texas.  An auction brought Willie’s Place into town for roughly about $6.4 million and what was viewed to be a great investment, considering all of its amenities and location’s history.  Vehicle transport industry experts and many drivers in the business of controlling car shipping prices on the long roads of Texas feel that this is exactly what the historical site needed.

Willie’s Place is named after the legendary country singer, Willie Nelson.  The location includes not only a truck stop, but also an entertainment facility that’s located on a 15 acre plot of land off Interstate 35.  The location offers 12 different fueling stations for auto shipping drivers, a couple of restaurants, convenience store, saloon, theater with live music, and a gift shop.  The friendly staff will help you and provide you a service unlike any other.  They want you to get everything you need on your way out so that you can get on that long road ahead.

Connecticut Car Haulers

Truck drivers and car shipping companies were asked by the state of Connecticut to participate in a study on the use of corrosive de-icing products on the roads to keep them from freezing over.  These items are used quite frequently when conditions call for such a product and are very important in the auto transport industry.  The Connecticut lawmakers heard testimonies from the study to get a better idea of the thoughts from drivers and companies.  The Motor Transport Association of Connecticut believed it to be a good idea that the commissioner of the Department of Transportation started the study of the effects of the corrosive mixture of liquid calcium chloride and salt that was first used on the vehicle shipping roads and highways of Connecticut during the ‘06/’07 winter months.

Close sources to truck drivers that asked for the study indicated that a wide range of drivers planned on showing up for a public meeting on the affair at hand with truck parts that had been damaged from the corrosive materials.  They wanted people to see firsthand how these products were causing heavy-duty car transport truck failures and increasing truck repair bills.

Connecticut was one of the last states in the nation to switch over from the sand/salt mix to a salt/chemical mixture, according to the Department of Transportation.  The agency is pleased with the results and has had few complaints about the newly converted material.

Choosing a Cheap Car Mover Might Cost You!

When calling around to all of the different car transport companies, customers will get high prices and really low prices.  Problem is more so with the cheap prices.  Those companies might end up costing more in the long run, whether it is them not being able to move the vehicle (time is money) or they might come back to the customer and tell them that is going to cost more than the originally stated price.  Some questions that might arise are: “Will your car arrive at its destination in the same condition it was in when it left its origin?” or “Will it even arrive in a timely manner?”   Make sure to do research on all car shipping companies at hand to ensure the vehicles safety.  Do not just choose an auto transporter because of that low price.

Make sure to ask many questions regarding the vehicle transport process and how that company does business.  Below are a few important questions to ask:
  • How much will it cost to move a car from point A to point B?
  • What is the time frame for pickup and delivery?
  • Is the company licensed, bonded and insured?
  • Do they comply with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s safety standards?
  • What kind of equipment is used to load and unload vehicles?
  • How long has the company been in business?
  • How will the company handle any issues that might arise during transport?
  • Was this company used by a friend or family member before that can vouch for its service?
A quality car transporter will be willing to answer any and all questions regarding the transport process.  Make sure it’s not just a bunch of jargon they are throwing out just to get off the phone.

Is it better to purchase a vehicle locally or out of state?

There are many pros and cons in purchasing a vehicle both in state and out of state.  Some markets are a little more favorable than others depending on the year, make, model, and vehicle type.  There is as much as $3,000.00 to $6,000.00 difference in pricing on several vehicles, new and used, from one sector of the region to another.  Dealerships make it easy for out of state buyers to purchase online and they provide the necessary documentation for auto transport so that you won’t have to pay the state tax where the vehicle was acquired.  Once the vehicle is registered within your state, that’s when you would just take care of the DMV fees and sales taxes within your own state.

Hypothetically, if you purchased an out of state vehicle for $30,000.00 (vs. the $33,000.00 local vehicle) and purchased car shipping services for $1000.00, you can already see the $2,000.00 savings.  Not only are you getting an out of state savings, your options are almost endless.   You now can choose the exact color and specific options that you want without that high dollar price tag.  Majority of the time, if you have specifics on what you want, the dealership will probably have to bring the vehicle from another location anyways and you will still have to pay the high dollar for it rather than being diligent and finding the vehicle yourself.

To rid you of any worries about car transport, call N-Motion Auto Transport today and let use ease your mind.  Get hassle free car shipping prices and leave the job to the pros.

Transport’s Number One Rule of Thumb – Location, Location, Location

Car Transport is very similar to real estate in the sense that they are both highly reliant upon the location.   Location is key in the auto transport industry because if the vehicle is, say in a national forest on top of a mountain, it will take a little longer to pick up and the price will most surely be higher than if you were needing it picked in the heart of Houston or Los Angeles.  This is always something that you need to consider before booking your vehicle with a car shipping company.

Car carriers try to make the most economical runs when scheduling an auto shipping appointment.  Just remember, when you are needing to get your vehicle transported, the more time that you give the transport company to work on it, the better the price will be because it gives them more of a chance to exhaust all resources and find the best bang for your buck.

Inoperative Vehicle Transport

What if my vehicle won't start or is broken down? Can a non-operative or inoperative vehicle be transported? A non running vehicle can be transported; however, additional charges will apply. In order to provide you with correct information, we will need to know the true condition of the vehicle. For example, it is important that a non operating vehicle rolls forward and in reverse, steers and brakes. Vehicles that do not meet this criterion can still be moved, however, may require special equipment for loading. N-Motion Auto Transport will move cars for insurance companies, insurance recovery, auto auctions and salvage auctions, including both running and non-running cars and trucks.

Our drivers will take the utmost care in loading and unloading non operational vehicles. If the vehicle will not roll, steer or brake, such as a chassis, a forklift may have to be used. Damages, if incurred during the loading and unloading, are not transport damage and therefore, non operational vehicles are shipped at the owner's risk.

Shipping Wars on A&E – Recap of Episode “Pain in the Caboose”

On the previous episode of Shipping Wars, that aired January 24, 2012, Marc lands the 1928 train caboose in order to haul. He has no idea what he is really getting into, but decided to steal the job away from Scott and Susie. There are many variables that go along with this shipment, some that could make or break the bank. Marc states that “if the shippers check doesn’t clear, we are going to have a bonfire with this caboose.” Whether joking or not, this is one of the issues that goes along with how things are done on USHIP and why it is better to go with a auto transport broker who can handle all of the logistics. Not only is the car transport broker able to get things done in a timelier manner, due to the larger network of trucks on the road, but the broker is also in control of payment to the driver. So, in such a case as the caboose, the job would have not even begun unless the check cleared. There would be no mix up in payment and everyone is happy in the end. Brokers are only in business because of hard working carriers that get the job done right. Good brokers, like N-Motion Auto Transport, handle things properly the first time so that there are no mix-ups in the end.

Roy wins the privilege to move a 1955 Thunderbird from FL to NY. The bid started at $2500.00 and the final bid closed at $1500.00. This is only 1100 miles and would only have cost a customer $1095.00, if they had used a car shipping company like N-Motion Auto Transport. The customer could then just sit back and relax while they waited for their vehicle to arrive, while not having to be calling the car carrier every so often to find out the location of their vehicle.

New Mobile Computing Platform for Car Transport

Transport drivers and firms in the vehicle transport business looking for a new solution to help their fleet manage transport safety and stay in line with the rules and regulations for the transport industry of the United States of America will be able to stop looking sometime in the fall. Qualcomm has announced that it will be offering the car transporter out on the transport roads and highways of the United States a new cost-effective solution at this time called the Mobile Computing Platform 50 (MCP 50). The Mobile Computing Platform 50 will offer transport firms applications and features designed and engineered to help fleets monitor and manage staying in line with all of the transport rules and regulations in place, while at the same time decreasing the cost of keeping transport services safe and operating in an efficient and reliable way, according to Qualcomm.

Including features to help keep track of Hours of Service, an electronic on board recorder that has been designated okay for drivers to use by the United States Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, and a CSA Safety Performance to help auto shipping firms manage performance under the new SMS scoring methodology. In addition to critical event reporting, dashboards to keep track and improve driver performance, on board navigation systems, and an analytics manager to provide information on operational performance in easy-to-use dashboards, graphs and tables.

Ship Cars Using Pre-Set Hub Assemblies

One job that car haulers of the United States need to take care of in order to help deliver cars on time and budget is the installation of pre-set hub assemblies. Consolidated Metco has announced the introduction of the next-generation of pre-set hub assemblies the transport industry of the United States requires during the miles ahead in order to deliver cars in an efficient, reliable and cost-effective manner during the miles ahead on the car transport roads and highways of the nation.

Called PreSet Plus, these pre-set assemblies include a new integrated spindle nut designed to make installation easier to accomplish and helps protect components during installation and removal, and even helps in the removal of the assembly when being serviced, according to Consolidated Metco. The spindle nut also increases clamp pressure, improves the overall safety of auto transport services and eliminates the adjusting often required to engage a locking ring, according to Consolidated Metco, and a new bearing spacer has been optimized in order to handle the higher clamping loads involved.

Transport drivers and firms in the business of delivering vehicles that want to check out the new pre-set hub assemblies being offered by Consolidated Metco should contact the company directly for more information on where to find this new offer, or drop by a local dealer of Consolidated Metco parts to see what they have on hand. This could be another way for you to save more time and money that you can use to help deliver more vehicles during the miles ahead on the transport roads and highways of the United States of America.

Helping Car Transport Firms Find Drivers

Transport fleets and firms in the car shipping business looking for another way to screen the drivers they hire to make sure cars are delivered on time and budget can stop looking. HireRight has announced the introduction of the HireRight DAC Edition, which gives trucking driver recruiters access to employment applications used to conduct background screening, drug and health testing and I-9 verification and contingent driver screening for transport firms around the United States of America during the miles ahead, and all from a single interface. Great news for transport fleets looking for a better way to screen the drivers they hire to make sure vehicles are delivered in a reliable, efficient and cost-effective manner as we head into the second century of the environment in the United States of America.

HireRight has indicated they think this new tool will allow transport firms that ship cars for a living find the drivers they need to make sure their transport services are both professional and reliable during the months and years ahead in the business of transporting cars to destination. A possible new benchmark for screening drivers in the trucking industry and a better way to manage a comprehensive screening program, while at the same time enhancing the efficiency of transport services, reducing the cost of transport, and keeping drivers in line with the current rules and regulations for transporting cars on the roads and highways of the United States.

The car transporter that wants to check out HireRight's new HireRight DAC Edition should contact the company directly for more information, or drop by a local dealer of HireRight products to see what they have on hand.
