Affordable Health Care for Vehicle Shipping

Drivers and firms operating car carriers out on the transport roads and highways of the United States wondering when we'll see plans to start a nationwide initiative aimed at making affordable health care more accessible for transport drivers can start to relax a little. The Healthy Trucking Association of America (HTAA) has recently announced plans to launch just such a plan across the nation during the miles ahead in order to make health care more affordable for transport drivers taking vehicles to destination on a daily basis.

Car Haulers Dealing With Snow

Transport drivers conducting vehicle shipping services along the New York State Thruway this week and during the weekend might want to look at alternate routes in order to help them deliver customers cars in a reliable, efficient and cost-effective manner during the miles ahead. Sources traveling along a 10-mile section of Interstate 90 indicate that this route could be closed to transport in both directions between exits 50 and 55 along New York's eastern suburbs during the next few days. Transport drivers and firms planning on using this route to transport vehicles to destination on time and budget, might want to think about alternate routes, just in case this route should be totally closed to car transport, or even slowed down considerably during the next few days for transportation services.

At the present moment, about two feet of snow has fallen along this transport route in the last few days, and hundreds of motorists have been stranded due to falling snow during the past week. Sources in the transport industry indicate that people have been using snowmobiles and emergency vehicles to try to help stranded drivers along the closed stretch of Interstate 90 running north-south along Buffalo's eastern city limits, but that there are still lots of stranded drivers. There's also lots of work left to do to get this transport route up to full capacity for use by the car transporter needing to move vehicles to destinations along this route.

Transport services and drivers thinking about using this essential transport route that want to make sure there are no problems due to the falling snow, should probably use a different route to move to destination, if possible, just to make sure any possibly problems are avoided.

Vehicle Transport Can be Proud

Transport firms and drivers in the business of controlling auto shipping rates interested in stories of heroic truckers out on the roads and highways of America putting their lives on the line to help people in trouble will be interested in the latest truckers to be named Highway Angels by the Truckload Carriers Association. A husband and wife trucking team, Cliff and Wanda Humphrey, were recently named Truckload Carriers Association Highway Angels for stopping to help out at a fatal car crash in the mid-morning of July 19, 2010. Cliff was fast and grabbed a fire extinguisher to help put out the fire that had erupted after the crash, while Wanda got on the phone and called 911. A truly heroic partnership that probably saved a few lives on this day and certainly they make the auto transport and trucking industry as a whole proud after being named the latest Highway Angels of the United States to be recognized for their bravery while out on the roads and highways.

Sources around the trucking industry and business of controlling car shipping prices indicate that Cliff Humphrey is a seasoned truck driver who has in fact helped quite a few people during his 37 years of trucking. Auto Shipping Wheel-Off Prevention Tool

Transport firms in the business of controlling car shipping prices looking for a better way to monitor possible heat build-up in the wheel-end of a transport vehicle before a wheel-off incident or fire erupts in the wheel-end should check out Meritor Tire Inflation Systems (MTIS) by PSI with ThermAlert. Reports from sources around the transport industry of the United States of America indicates that this particular system has been helping vehicle transport firms save money on new tires and repairs during the past weeks and months.

Sources also indicate that delivering the proper amount of air to the rear axle is a major concern for some transport professionals out on the roads and highways of the United States making sure customers vehicles make it to destination on time and budget. If the rear axle doesn't get the right amount of air it could result in heat build-up, blown inside tires and at times a fire related to dragging brakes. Meritor Tire Inflation Systems by PSI has given transport firms that ship cars using this system extra confidence that a driver will be notified before a heat related problem or fire can erupt, according to the people over at PSI.

This news will certainly get the attention of transport firms in the United States trying to control costs and make sure the cars make it to destination in a reliable, efficient and cost-effective manner in the days and weeks ahead. Auto Transport Prepares for Winter

The winter months have arrived in North America and transport firms and professionals trying to control the auto shipping rates they charge customers will be implementing snow chains in order to keep transport vehicles on the snow covered roads and the highways of the United States during the months ahead. Transport drivers and firms looking for a new tool to help them keep transport vehicles on the roadways, rather than the snow chains they have been using for years, now have a new product designed to be an alternate for transport drivers and firms implementing snow chains in their business operations.

GoClaws is an advanced engineered tire traction system for use in mud, sand, snow or ice being marketed by Advanced Traction Systems, and an alternate choice to the snow chains car haulers have been putting on their heavy duty truck tires for years. An injection-molded, high-strength, high-durability polyurethane system offering a smoother ride and longer tire life, according to Advanced Traction Systems, GoClaws accomplished this through improved abrasion resistance and less damage to tires. In addition, GoClaws eliminates road damage, exceeds SAE clearance requirements for each vehicle class and meets the stricter laws enforced by many federal, state and local transportation departments and authorities who have made studded tires and tire chains illegal for vehicle shipping services because of the damage done to the roads and highways of the United States of America.

Transport drivers and firms that want to check out GoClaws for possible use in their transport business should check out local dealers of Advanced Traction Systems products, or contact the firm directly for more information on where to find GoClaws.

Auto Shipping Will Need More Drivers

Transport firms in the business of controlling car shipping prices could have trouble finding drivers for their transport vehicles in a few years time, according to many transport experts looking at the future. The transport experts over at FTR Associates believe that by the time the transport industry of the United States of America makes it to 2012, there could be shortage of professionals transport drivers to help move customers cars to destination in a reliable, efficient and cost-effective manner during the miles ahead. They indicate that as many as 400,000 more drivers could be needed to help the transport industry of the United States keep the cargo moving to destination in America by the time 2012 rolls down the road.

The professionals over at FTR Associates think that there could be limits to how fast transport fleets in the years ahead will be able to recruit the drivers they need. They also think that regulatory issues will take some drivers out of the available professional transport drivers pool in the miles ahead for firms in the business of shipping cars overseas and the transport industry of the United States in general. In addition, they point out changes in the state laws could keep drivers of questionable immigration status from getting a commercial driver's license to operate in America. Car Transport Trucks Have Evolved

Professionals in the business of car shipping to Puerto Rico that have been providing transport service for customers that need to transport cars for a few decades probably remember the older heavy-duty trucks manufactured by companies like Mack. They might even be looking at the current conditions in the transport industry of the United States of America and the transport trucks being manufactured, and wonder what life would be for them if the heavy-duty trucks manufactured in the old days hadn't evolved into the transport trucks of today. These thoughts were probably running through the minds of an experienced car transporter, or two, that showed up to take a look at the new Mack trucks on display at Mack's newest Customer Center. The new Mack trucks on display at this center sit side by side with older Mack trucks, from another age of transport in America, which has given the transport professionals on hand at the new Mack center a chance to compare the old with the new.

The new Mack center is actually Mack's old engineering development and test center, but walking through the center you don't smell the grease and diesel fumes that would have filled the development center years ago. Walking outside you can have a look at a collection of old Mack trucks from an earlier age, some of them worked on the roads and highways of the United States of America in the 1920s. Mack trucks are also on hand that worked on the roads of North America during the 1950s to 1980s and car shipping drivers can even get behind the wheel of one of these older transport trucks and take it around Mack's test track to see how they compare to modern heavy-duty transport trucks being manufactured by Mack, today. Once you get behind the wheel of these older transport trucks, you might appreciate your modern Mack truck a lot more, and transport drivers from an earlier age would probably think they had died and gone to transport heaven.

Vehicle Transport HOS Proposals

Professionals trying to control auto shipping rates interested in the latest news on the hours-of-service revision proposals should make note that the revisions are expected to clear the White House Office of Management and Budget, sometime near the end of November, according to sources at the United States Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Apparently, the chief of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration mentioned this to a crowd of interested Americans during a forum on driver health in Baltimore, Maryland. The chief of the FMCSA also mentioned at this same time that the United States Department of Transportation recently asked for an extension of 30 days in the current schedule to help in the review of the revision proposals for the hours-of-service regulations currently in law in the United States of America for transport drivers in the business of controlling car shipping prices, according to the people in attendance at this driver health forum.

Delay in this kind of transport safety revision process is hardly news for the professionals in the transport industry of the United States of America and they’ll certainly rather have them take their time in this kind of process. The new plans call for the analysis of the revision proposals for the hours-of-service rules and regulations to be ready by November 26, as long as there aren’t any further delays in the process. Once they get to this point, Americans will get to have their say about the revision proposals for the hours-of-service rules and regulations for car transport drivers and all professional transport drivers out on the roads of the United States of America.

Ship Cars Along the Detroit-Windsor Gateway

It will be a little while before vehicle transport drivers and firms that were looking forward to using the a new, public bridge at the Windsor-Detroit gateway will have to wait a little longer, before this will be possible. The plans to build this particular transport route came up against another roadblock this week as Michigan’s Senate Majority Leader announced to the world that there would be no vote on the bridge in 2010. This is certainly news to the people that read the statements recently that there would indeed be an up and down vote in the Legislature on the plans to build the Windsor-Detroit gateway bridge during a lame duck session after the November 2 mid-term elections.

The new plans on the idea to build this bridge will now be delayed until newly elected Republican governor Rick Snyder takes over in the new year. Hopefully, once they get these plans back on track, we can get the Senate’s approval regarding the building of the Detroit-Windsor gateway, and car carriers moving along this route in the years ahead in the United States of America. At this point in time there appears to be some doubt in the minds of some transport professionals that the Windsor-Detroit gateway bridge is going to be built, but for now it appears this bridge is still in the minds of many drivers and firms that were looking forward to traveling across this bridge, once it was built.

There’s even a belief in some car haulers that we might have to put forth a new plan to build the Windsor-Detroit gateway bridge in 2011, since the current plans seem to be having trouble getting off the ground.

Ship Cars Using the Newest 2010 Engines

Drivers and transport firms interested in the latest reviews from other transport professionals implementing car carriers using the new fuel-efficient 2010 engines in their transport vehicle will be glad to hear that the transport industry of the United States of America is beginning to embrace these new engines. There are reports coming in of some drivers and firms reluctantly beginning to invest in transport vehicles with the newest fuel-efficient engines designed to help the transport industry meet the current emissions standards of the United States Environmental Protection Agency. There are also reports coming in of some firms in the business of car shipping to Puerto Rico beginning to think about investing more money in transport vehicles with the latest engines designed to help them meet the environmental requirements of transport in America during the miles ahead.

It would appear that the present scorecard of these new fuel-efficient engines designed to help car haulers in North America and the transport industry of the United States reduce the carbon wheel-print of the vehicle transport services they provide is still a bit of a mystery for many transport firms using these engines. The miles ahead will certainly provide the data transport firms need to finish filling in this scorecard. Hopefully, the data collected by the firms and drivers implementing the newest 2010 fuel-efficient engines is even better than the designers and engineers hope, and the scorecard is one that makes us all smile as we head down the roads taking the cars to destination.

New Truck Tires for the Car Transporter

Transport firms looking for a new tool to help them control car shipping prices will be glad to hear that Cooper Tire has announced the expansion of the Roadmaster Commercial Tire lineup, with the new Roadmaster RM230 line of truck tires. Sources at Cooper Tire indicate that the new 12R22.5 and 12R24.5 sizes of truck tires included with the new Roadmaster RM230 line of truck tires are perfect for helping transport drivers and firms conduct transport in a safe and reliable manner, and include a deep 23/32-inch tread that designers and engineers believe extends the number of miles vehicle shipping firms can achieve using these new truck tires.

Cooper Tires believes their new Roadmaster RM230 line of truck tires are useful for any number of jobs in the transport trucking industry of the United States of America, including the job of car shipping to Puerto Rico. Cooper Tire also believes that the RM230's design, combined with its four-belt construction, offers the strength and performance transport drivers need, while resisting stone penetration and delivering the life expectancy and retread ability transport fleets in the United States of America require during the miles ahead.

This is great news for transport firms in America looking for a new truck tire to help them reduce costs and deliver the cars on time and budge. The additonal tire sizes included with the new Roadmaster RM230 line of truck tires also provides transport professionals with a few more choices in the truck tires they'll use in the months and years ahead.

Auto Shipping Vehicles Evolving

There are a lot of changes coming down the road for firms shipping cars overseas in the United States of America, the transport vehicles they'll be implementing in their fleet operations will be totally changed in a few decades time. The new greenhouse gas emissions and fuel efficiency regulations for the heavy-duty trucks that will be driving along the roads and highways of the United States in the miles ahead is going to mean changes for transport firms in America car shipping to Puerto Rico and is going to require the trucks of the future be a totally different animal, according to many transport professionals. The trucks of the future will all use engines designed and engineered to both be more fuel efficient and use different types of fuel for transport. These vehicles will also be the most aerodynamic transport trucks to drive on the roads of America, by implementing low rolling resistant tires, speed limiters, idle reduction and other environmentally-friendly tools, and additional new technologies designed during the miles ahead.

This evolution in the transport vehicles firms trying to control auto shipping rates will be using in the years ahead to deliver customers vehicles in an efficient, reliable and cost-effective manner will lead to the development of heavy-duty transport vehicles that will probably only slightly resemble the transport trucks of old, according to many truck manufacturers and transport firms. The United States Environment Protection Agency's SmartWay program also appears to be the favorite of the government, according to many transport professionals watching the evolution of heavy-duty trucks in America, and the heavy-duty trucks of old are no longer viable for transport firms in the United States of America as we enter the second decade of the century of the environment.

Car Shipping Under CSA 2010

During the miles ahead always getting great auto transport reviews could be more difficult at times for some transport firms in the United States of America. The United States Federal Motor Carrier Safety Association is preparing to begin total implementation of CSA 2010 during the next few miles in North America. Transport firms and drivers are going to need a few miles to get use to the changes and begin forming new on-the-job habits designed to help them deal with putting the changes in place. Once they get beyond the first few miles of this trip though, things should begin to settle down, and we should start to see a leveling off of sorts in the number of interventions, and such, for auto shipping firms and drivers.

There are a few things you'll want to make sure you take care of before you head out onto the road, in order to make sure you're ready for any friendly transport safety officials you might meet during your trip. You want to make sure you work within the hours-of-service rules and regulations currently in place and part of this is making sure you get enough hours of rest and sleep. You also want to make sure you do a complete maintenance check on your car transport. Transport safety risk management firm Rair recently released a study in which the results indicated vehicle maintenance is the second most important task transport firms and drivers need to take care of in order to help them deal with CSA 2010. According to this study as many as 10 to 15 percent of large transport firms with 500 of more transport vehicles, might want to give transport vehicles one more maintenance check, before sending them back out on the road.

Safety Tips for Drivers That Ship Cars

Transport safety professionals recently made a few suggestions they think will help make the car transport industry of the United States and the transport drivers on the roads and highways taking cargo to destination safer during the miles ahead for the transport industry of the United States of America. What kind of suggestions are these transport safety professionals suggesting could help transport drivers out on the roads and highways of North America drive safer? They suggest that firms and transport drivers should try to reduce in-cab distractions that take the drivers attention away from the road and the job of driving an auto transport vehicle in as safe a manner as humanly possible. They also suggested that federal transport safety regulators should maybe try to use technology standards, transport safety enforcement, transport driver education and all associated data in order to help them in the battle to reduce in-cab distractions for the transport drivers of the United States of America.

The transport safety professionals in this case also think the United States Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration should take all current research into account in the desire to reduce in-cab distractions for transport drivers trying to control car shipping prices, and all transport drivers in America. They also think that finding alternatives to things like visual messaging and working with firms that manufacture in-cab distractions to see if they can come up with a few standards that could reduce the amount drivers are distracted by the products they manufacture is a good idea. All sound advice that hopefully transport drivers around the United States will take to heart.

Taking Care of Auto Transport Maintenance

Making sure your car carriers are in shape to conduct vehicle transport in an efficient, reliable and cost-effective manner can be the difference for some transport firms of the United States of America. This job is essential to staying in line with the United States Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's new CSA 2010 program for all transport professionals out on the highways and roads of the United States transporting vehicles to destination for customers. Taking care of this work is going to keep interventions by transport safety officials down to a minimum, your boss will be happier, and the car transport services you provide will get to destination quicker and more efficiently, as well.

The latest reports from around the transport industry indicates that the maintenance of transport vehicles is going to be of greater importance to the United States Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration as we head down the road. Professionals that ship cars for a living definitely want to make sure the maintenance of the transport vehicle they drive is kept up to current standards, or you could be spending a lot more unwanted time on the side of the road talking to transport safety officials from the United States Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, rather than taking cars to destination. This is the last place you want to be, when out on the roads and highways of the United States taking a customers cars to destination, and it could mean you get to destination a little late.

Heavy Duty Vehicle Transport Orders Up

Transport professionals in the business of great auto transport reviews will be interested in the news that during September reports indicate there were a lot more heavy-duty Class 8 trucks ordered in the United States of America. The latest numbers indicate that 15,231 heavy-duty Class 8 trucks were ordered in September, which is a 37 percent increase over the number of heavy-duty Class 8 trucks sold during the same period in 2009, and means September was the second best month of orders for heavy-duty Class 8 trucks in the recent past. This is even more significant when you consider that according to transport professionals September isn't traditionally a good month for heavy-duty Class 8 orders. The real question in the months ahead for the transport firms of America will be whether this trend continues to gather momentum, or levels off a bit.

This news definitely indicates an increase in the demand for heavy-duty Class 8 trucks and auto shipping services in the United States of America in the last few months and in the future, according to many transport professionals doing business in North America. This likely means that firms are preparing to ship more vehicles in the days and months ahead in the United States of America and feeling a little more confident about investing money in new transports. Great news that will have auto transport workers and owner operators conducting transport services smiling as they travel down the roads of North America. Hopefully, as we travel further down the road in the months ahead orders for heavy-duty trucks in North America continues to increase, and the business of transport gains additional momentum.

Car Haulers in New Jersey

You won't find any snow on your auto transport if you're operating in the Garden State of the United States in the next few days, at least the latest weather forecasts are calling for no snow in the near future. If it does snow, you probably want to make sure you clear snow and ice off of your transport vehicle, or you could be assessed a fine of up to $75 for not making sure you take care of this job. Starting October 20, this rule affects the job of transporting cars to destination in New Jersey, and you definitely want to make sure that if it snows you don't allow snow and ice to build up on your truck cab or trailer.

If snow or ice falls from your vehicle transport and causes property damage or hurts someone, you could be given a hefty fine. This doesn't affect snow and ice accumulating on a transport vehicle out on the roads of North America that's heading to a place to have the snow and ice removed. This new idea in New Jersey doesn't seem to meet the logic-test that transport professionals have been putting it through as occupational health and safety legislation in place usually prohibits transport drivers from climbing to the top of trailers, without the proper safety equipment.

The latest thought in connection with this idea includes using the collected revenue from fines issued under the new ruling to create a snow and ice removal safety fund, which according to many professionals in the business of shipping cars overseas would provide incentives for fleets and truckstops to install snow removal equipment in their facilities in the future. There's also a concern that other municipalities looking for ways to generate revenue will see this idea as a great way to put more money in their coffers in the miles ahead.

Vehicle Shipping Fleet Management Tool

Telogis Scalable Fleet Management Platform, Telogis Fleet 8, has a few new tricks to show vehicle transport firms of the United States of America. Telogis Fleet 8 is GPS fleet management software that incorporates the dynamic traffic and weather data to reroute or make real-time changes to the transport route of your vehicles, based on the environmental conditions of transport. Telogis Fleet 8's new tricks include an International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFA)/International Registration Plan (IRP) data feed, keeping track of the histories of a fleet of transport vehicles, an imaging system that improves the safety of transport and a fuel card component that monitors and manages fuel cards. All of these new features have been built around a platform already offering car transport professionals a useful set of tools to help manage the vehicles of a transportation company, according to Telogis.

Telogis indicates that Telogis Fleet 8 integrates Telogis Route and Telogis Mobile into this new tool to create a complete platform for transport professionals that monitors the location, health, performance and security of your transport vehicles as they travel down the roads of America. Telogis also indicates that many transport professionals believe this new tool could help firms keep a handle on car shipping prices in the months and years ahead, which could help the bottom line of the firms implementing Telogis Fleet 8 in their business operations. Firms and drivers that want to check on Telogis Fleet 8 should contact Telogis directly, or their local dealer of Telogis products.

Auto Shipping With Clean Diesel Fuel

Your car transport vehicles could be operating using clean diesel fuel in the future and this could become a fuel the transport industry of the United States of America could use during the transition to cleaner fuels, according to a recently released study. The United States is also currently moving down the road toward implementing tougher environmental and fuel economy standards and expanding the use of renewable fuels in the transport industry of the United States. This news was reported in the recently released Hart Energy Consulting report, "Diesel: Fueling the Future of a Green Economy", during the Diesel Technology Forum held in conjunction with the United States Department of Energy 2010-2011 Winter Fuels Outlook Conference at the National Press Club.

What else did the Hart Energy report indicate about the growth of the use of clean diesel fuel in the car carriers of the United States delivering customers cars in an efficient, reliable and cost-effective manner on a daily basis? According to the Hart Energy report the growth of clean diesel fuel hasn't been the same in all sectors of the transport industry and diesel has outpaced the growth of the use of gasoline, and continues to be the main source of fuel for the transport industry of America as we head into the second decade of the century of the environment. The report also reports the growth of clean diesel fuel in the light duty transport industry, the increase in the availability of clean diesel for auto transport in America and the future role renewable diesel fuels will play in the transport industry.

Safer to Ship Cars Along I-80 in Wyoming

A crash during auto transport is an event any driver and transport firm wants to avoid and if this means traveling a little slower along certain stretches of roads, so be it. Traveling slower along a 52-mile stretch of the I-80 between Laramie and Rawlins has been the law during the past few years, due to a speed limit of 65 miles per hour being enforced along this stretch of highway. The decrease in crashes along this stretch of the I-80 has been noticed by the Wyoming Department of Transportation and they have just installed variable speed limit signs along this 52-mile stretch of highway. Sources indicate that these variable speed limit signs will allow the Wyoming Department of Transportation to reduce speed limits by 5 mph increments to as low as 35 mph as the weather changes. This means that as auto shipping road conditions between Quealy Dome Interchange 20 miles west of Laramie and the Peterson Interchange 22 miles east of Rawlins change the department can change the speed limits in response.

The possibility of a crash is something transport firms trying to control their car shipping prices go to great lengths to avoid. The implementation of variable speed limits on the transport highways and roadways of the United States is definitely an idea that has come-of-age and we'll certainly see more variable speed limit signs along the highways in the years ahead in the century of the environment in America. This will give state transport agencies a better way to respond to changing weather conditons and the effects this can have on the transport of vehicles to destination.

Proudly Car Shipping to Puerto Rico

North American car haulers proud of the job they do will smile when they hear about the latest Truckload Carrier Association (TCA) Highway Angel, Jaime Avitia, and how he came to be recognized for stopping to help another human being in need of help out on the roads and highways of the United States of America. On August 31, 2010, at about 1 a.m., Jaime was driving down Interstate 10 near Balmorhea, Texas, on his way to a company location in Laredo, Texas. Beneath him was Highway 17, which you can access using the Interstate 10 using a service road, but otherwise this route ends in a dead end, according to sources. Jamie saw a smaller truck moving down Highway 17, toward the dead end, when the truck suddenly veered off of the road, and vaulted into the air. Sources indicate the smaller truck flipped in the air, but landed upright, but still managed to lose two tires during the flight.

Thinking fast, Jamie apparently stopped his truck, grabbed his flashlight and first-aid kit, and ran down a hill to see if there was anything he could do to help. A brave reaction in a tense situation that will make the car transport driver and all transport drivers of North America proud when they hear this news. Upon arriving at the truck, Jamie looked into the vehicle and quickly determined what he needed to do. Moving to aid the driver, who was in the backseat, and apparently partly hanging out the back window of the vehicle, Jamie managed to find the space to administer first-aid to the driver, and revived the driver after a few tense moments of CPR. Stabilizing the situation, Jamie supported the driver, and tried to make sure he was as comfortable and supported as possible, while another trucker that had stopped to help called 911. Just another days work for this trucker, but definitely a day the driver in the pickup truck will never forget, and one that will make the auto transport driver proud to say he's a trucker.

New Car Shipping Transports Ordered

Reports indicate that auto shipping firms and transport companies in general have been putting in orders for new Navistar International trucks and engines in the last quarter of 2010. Navistar International is reporting of late that orders for 2010 EPA-compliant trucks and engines are going up, and they have shipped about 7,000 trucks, since June. Navistar International is also indicating that momentum appears to be growing in the desire for firms to put in orders for new 2010 EPA-compliant transports and they expect to sell about 17,000 transport vehicles across North America by the end of 2010. At present, the firm indicates that their engine plants are putting out about 380 engines a day, and currently about 85 of these are MaxxForce 13 engines.

Transportation firms and owner operators that plan on using a new 2010 EPA-compliant transport to ship cars to destination in a reliable, efficient, and cost-effective manner in the months and years ahead in the century of the environment will be paying attention to this news. Navistar International is currently developing a 15-liter engine based on the Caterpillar C15 platform, called the MaxxForce 15, which is expected to provide some transport professionals with the extra power they need to get the job done. They also have been trying to introduce transport professionals in the United States with the possible benefits of their smaller displacement MaxxForce 13, over the higher displacement MaxxForce 15, during the past few months, and this does appear to be finding a car transporter or two that agrees.

Car Carriers Heading into Indianapolis on I-70

Transport professionals planning of conducting car shipping services along a six-mile stretch of Interstate 70 heading into downtown Indianapolis will need to look at alternate routes to make it to destination on time. The latest reports from state highway officials indicates that all lanes on I-465 on the west side of Indianapolis to its downtown junction with I-65 will be closed to traffic for a twelve hour period, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., one day this week. According to sources, about 8,500 volunteers will be planting trees, shrub and flowers along the highway, and making the area a little greener for all. Organizers are hoping to make the gateway into the city from the Indianapolis International Airport look better and planting a few trees and shrubs will certainly accomplish this.

This news is going to make a change of plans necessary for the car transporter that was planning on using this route to take customers vehicles to destination in a reliable, efficient, and cost-effective manner on the day in question. This isn't necessarily going to mean major changes in services for any firms planning on using this route, and they do know ahead of time, so they can make the necessary changes to their business plans. Hopefully, they get the trees, shrubs, and flowers planted as quickly as possible, and only close this route for a minimum amount of time. Once they get the job done the area will look a lot better, when driving through, and America will be a little greener, and this is the best part of this news.

We certainly need to plant trees, shrubs, and flowers to make the areas surrounding vehicle transport roads look better, but it might be a good idea to make this idea part of the original plans when putting the roads and highways in place. This is probably going to save time and money, and keep the transports flowing better along the roads as America enters the second decade of the century of the environment.

10-Wheel Car Transports

American auto transport firms running 10-wheels on their transports, these day, rather than the traditional 18-wheels the transport industry has used for years will be interested in the news that more and more transport professionals in the United States of America are tuning into the benefits of running 10-wheels, over 18-wheels. Another transport firm operating on the roads and highways of North America announced they are making the switch to 10-wheels, from 18-wheels, and would now be running single-wide drive tires on their estimated 11,000 transport vehicles in the months and years ahead in the century of the environment.

This announcement was made during a meeting at Michelin North America headquarters this week as professionals in the business of controlling auto shipping rates were on hand to watch as the 1 millionth X-One wide-base tire came off of the Michelin assembly line. Sources indicate that the first wide-based X-One tire was made about a decade ago, and this one million tire milestone is a significant development for both the transport industry of the United States of America and Michelin. They also indicate that single-wide drive tires during the past decade have become mainstream in the transport industry of America, and they have even started making inroads into other transport applications.

Professionals car shipping to Puerto Rico that want to check out the results firms implementing single-wide drive tires on their transport vehicles are achieving should talk to transport professionals using these tires in their fleet operations. This could be another way for you to save money and possibly benefits in other ways down the transport roads of America in the days ahead.

Need a Good Used Car Transporter

Sources in the business of great auto transport reviews indicate that the sales of used Class 8 commercial trucks was up about 55 percent in August, over the numbers recorded during the same period of time in 2009. At the same time, sources also indicate that the average price being paid for a used truck in the United States of America increased, and prices could increase even more in the days and months ahead in the century of the environment. This data was reported by ACT Research Co, which is a firm in the business of providing commercial vehicle industry information, market analysis and forecasting.

How much were customers paying for a used truck they could use for vehicle transport? ACT Research indicates that the price of a used truck broke the $40,000 mark for the first time since February, 2009, and this is a lot for a used truck, but the demand for used trucks is still strong, despite having gone down a little recently. Dealers have been voicing concerns over the lack of good used trucks and this could certainly be pushing up the price of a used truck, according to many transport professionals in the United States of America.

Professionals that ship cars in the United States using used transports will be looking at this news and probably thinking they are glad they have all of the used transports they need to meet their customers needs. Firms that are looking at investing money in used trucks will be looking at this news and thinking that it might be a good idea to wait, for awhile, if they can. Hopefully, in a few months time, the price for a used truck in America will come down a little, and this will help some firms find some of the used trucks they need.

Auto Transport Safety Improved

Professional vehicle transport drivers will be glad that according to sources at the United States Department of Transportation the agency has already finished implementing more NTSB safety recommendations in 2010 than anytime during the past five years. During the past 18 months in the United States the United States Department of Transportation has been on the transport roads taking care of critical safety issues, like distracted driving, pilot fatigue, and other transport safety issues. Sources at the agency indicate that they completed 92 safety recommendations in the first nine months of 2010, compared to 60 in 2009, so it does appear that momentum is building for the implementation of critical safety issues on the transport roads.

This is good news for the professionals that ship cars in the United States, but this is just the beginning of the battle to improve the level of safety on the transport roads. The United States Department of Transportation is also at work implementing about 80 percent of the safety recommendation they have received or looking at their feasibility for improving the level of safety for the transport industry of America in the century of the environment. Hopefully, they get all of the useful safety recommendations implemented in the next few months, and the transport roads are safer to move along. This is the news that transport professionals and all Americans using the roads are looking forward to hearing. If we keep building momentum in this battle, we should steadily improve the level of safety on the transport highways of America for the professional car transporter, and all Americans.

Auto Transport Vehicle Technicians Can Compete

Professional car transporter technicians were on hand for the fall meeting of the TMC SuperTech Competition at the Technology & Maintenance Council's in Raleigh, North Carolina, this week. This particular competition was created by TMC to recognize and promote transport technicians on a national level through TMC's Professional Technical Development Committee, according to sources close to this event. The winner this time is Jeffrey Schlecht, a technician who works for a truck shop in Norfolk, who outscored 40 other professional transport technicians in a series of written and hands-on tests designed to test their skills, and technical and mechanical aptitude for the job of making sure transports are ready and able to move to destination in a reliable, efficient and cost-effective manner.

Sources indicate that Jeffrey comes by his skills in a normal way for Americans, he learned by watching his father work on transport trucks, during his career as a technician. A technician with seven years experience working on all makes and models of transports that ship cars in the United States of America, it appears that Jeffrey Schlecht has reached a mile stone in his career as a technician. A graduate of the Wyoming Technical College, this was apparently the first technician's competiton that Jeffery has entered, and if this first competition is any indication, we might be hearing about Jeffery competiting in the future? One thing is for certain, Jeffrey must be very proud of his accomplishments, and his father must be smiling, whatever he's doing.

Technicians that work on car carriers that would like to show the world and other transportation professionals the techncial and mechanical skills they have developed over the years should take part in the next competition. This could be your chance to shine a little brighter and make the professionals working at your firm proud.

Vehicle Shipping Professionals Were in Attendance

Professionals that determine the auto shipping rates in the United States of America were on hand for TMW Systems user conference in Dallas during the recently held 24th annual event. Reports indicate that about 1,400 transport professionals were on hand for the event and this meant they had to find a few extra rooms to handle the overflow. New Auto Transport Weight Display

American vehicle transport professionals transporting vehicles in the United States of America need to make sure they know the exact on-the-ground weight of the load they're transporting. Air-Weight has just announced the release of a new in-cab LoadMaxx display that apparently includes all of the Air-Weight scale features you need to do the job, in a small rectangular package about the size of one of your credit cards. Air-Weight indicates that the new LoadMaxx display can be mounted on any flat surface using permanent adhesive tape or an optional dash swivel mount that can be put in even more places. The manufacturer also indicates that the new LoadMaxx display is perfect for transport vehicles where mounting the traditional round gauge weight display in the dash of the truck isn't feasible.
